Still Blinded By A Bird’s Eye View From The World Trade Center

Looking through some old papers tonight, I found this 35mm photo I took on January 15, 1999 from a 106th floor  window of what used to be the World Trade Center in New York City.

You will notice the clouds from this bird’s eye view.

Tragically, this vantage point is practically no longer available.

Can someone please tell me why?

Maybe someday we’ll understand why … maybe … then again, I don’t think there is any reasoning that will lead us to understand – not so long as we exist here on Earth anyway. Your photo, by the way, is beautiful – I think it should be framed! Submitted to Time Mag. or something … and include your caption about wanting to know why it doesn’t exist, not even for the birds, anymore. Lovely.
